Pranayama is the yogic practice of breath work. We know musicians are deeply connected to their breath (especially wind musicians), which is why we love pranayama so much. In these short practices, we will teach you multiple breathing techniques that encourage you to use your breath properly, prevent stress, and balance your energy. We can’t wait to breathe with you!

Hatha Flow is a combination of the yogic traditions of asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork), and meditation. In this hour-long class we use gentle movement (don't worry there are no chaturangas!) and build the foundational aspects of a yoga practice. All levels welcome, options for intermediate poses may be offered, but never required. Each student is encouraged to tailor the class to their individual needs. This is the perfect class for musicians because we spend extra time stretching and very gently strengthening 'problem areas' like our hands, wrists, and shoulders.

Slow down at the end of a busy day with our most restorative class. Lento is a mixture of yin yoga and gentle yoga and is the perfect balance to the fast paced lifestyle of a musician. This class encourages a release of stress through mindfulness, meditation, and sustained yoga poses. Benefits include increased circulation, improved flexibility, and mental and physical balance.

This 30min class is based around dynamic stretching and long static holds in yoga postures. Perfect after a stressful day, these classes help you to turn your attention inward and find release. You may want to have a blanket and pillow nearby to use as props or take a nap afterwards!

Vinyasa Flow is a one hour yoga flow class with upbeat music and dynamic sequencing. This combination of pranayama, balancing poses, and floor work will have you feeling energized and powerful. If you are new to yoga, this class is for you! We believe that yoga is truly for all musicians, so we have created a class that is accessible to everyone. In YAM 101 you will learn the basics of yoga and how it can benefit you as a musician. This class focuses on posture, alignment, balance, stress relief, and injury prevention. Still not convinced?
